Review: Hope Rising

Hope Rising (Of Love and War, #2)Hope Rising by Stacy Henrie
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

When this book was first announced I was a bit bummed, I’m not sure who I was hoping the story would be about but it was centered around a nurse that we’d never met well I figured I’d like it anyway since I had no idea the characters when I started the first one:)
Well come to find out Livy’s(one of the main characters in Hope at Dawn) older brother Joel is in it!!!

Ok so Evelyn is pretty set on following the nurses rules(and you know as soon as that’s thought/said she’s gonna break one:)) The book starts off with Evelyn on the beach on leave with a group of other nurses, although she’s hanging back from the group. She’s taking a moment to remember her father since he died exactly five years ago.
That’s were she meets Ralph, and her world was kinda turned upside down.
We go from them meeting to a few months later, Ralph’s back with his company and Evelyn is 13 weeks pregnant. She’s caring around Ralph’s last letter saying on his next leave they’ll get married and she can move back to the U.S. And tell her grandparents that she’s married and regnant and that’s why she back.
Just as she’s getting a new assignment in the hospital a group of patients comes in.

And that’s were we meet Joel. Joel’s company was just ambushed, he had shrapnel I his leg and pelvis and a fractured arm, the extent of the wounds wasn’t none until he saw the surgeon. Anyway Evelyn kinda recognizes his name, and if she’s remembering correctly he’s Ralph’s best friend, which makes her wonder were Ralph is and if he’s ok!!

I gotta say there were a few things that happened that I wasn’t expecting!!! And some that mad me almost cry.
Over all this wine was as good as the first!!! I loved it and I can’t wait for the third book!!!!

I received this book free from netgalley in exchange for my honest review
